Speaker Biography

Stuart Masters is a Test Director with over 25 years' experience leading quality assurance and independent test governance on some of the largest and most complex transformation programs across Australia, the UK, and Europe. He is currently the National Leader of Testing as a Service at PwC Australia, where he advises CIOs, program boards, and auditors on go-live readiness and independent quality gates for high-risk transformations. Stuart's career spans safety-critical and business-critical domains including digital hospitals, government, defence, and financial services. Career highlights include serving as Program Test Manager for the $1.8B Sunshine Coast University Hospital and $1.4B Lady Cilento Children's Hospital, co-defining a global QA Target Operating Model at EY for 170,000 staff across 150 countries, and leading test management on a £500m UK Passport Office transformation. Earlier in his career at Accenture, he led integration testing for global financial services clients including UBS and Visa. He is a Board Member of the Australia and New Zealand Testing Board (ANZTB), an ISTQB Certified Testing Practitioner, PMP, and SAFe Agile Practitioner, and holds a BA (Hons) Economics from the University of Manchester. Stuart is passionate about mentoring the next generation of testers — helping them move beyond technical execution to become trusted advisors who command the room and influence outcomes at the executive level.
